This wedding styled shoot was a dream come true, filled with inspiration for your big day. A stellar team of wedding suppliers from across Yorkshire and the North East came together, curated by Amie, the creative mastermind behind Feather and Fern Event Hire. Her vision perfectly complemented the stunning venue that is The Hidden Oak in Stockton.
The eagle-eyed among you might recognise the bodice from my previous photoshoot in Halifax. Amie had seen those photos and fell in love with the pink florals, inspiring her to reimagine some elements for a fresh new look. This shoot was the perfect opportunity to showcase just how versatile a bespoke wedding dress in Yorkshire can be. With a few design tweaks, the same dress can be transformed to create a completely different aesthetic for two unique events.
A floral blush pink bespoke wedding dress
For this shoot, I wanted to embrace flowing, ethereal beauty. I spent hours sourcing the perfect shade and texture of fabric to create a dreamy skirt that seems to float as the bride moves. The design features a luxe blush crepe-backed satin underskirt, topped with the lightest, buttery-soft pure silk chiffon that ripples exquisitely with every step. A thigh-high split adds a hint of daring allure, while the extra-long train exudes pure elegance.
To refresh the bodice, I added detachable off-shoulder straps and illusion sleeves adorned with the same intricate embroidery. These additions provide a seamless way to transition your look from day to evening—perfect for modern brides who love versatility in their wedding attire.
Sustainable weddings
The entire shoot was brought to life by an incredible collaboration of wedding creatives, all with a keen focus on sustainability. The styling and décor featured reusable artificial florals and greenery, while the stationery was printed on seed-embedded plantable paper. The bouquet, made from dried flowers, was another beautiful nod to eco-conscious wedding choices.
Our breathtaking model, a professional wedding pianist, brought along her real-life husband to complete the romantic vision. The day was magically captured by Mick Merriott Photography, with behind-the-scenes content and reels expertly crafted by Jake Does Weddings.
