Similarly, vintage dresses are beautiful but often reflect the body types of past generations, requiring thoughtful adjustments to suit modern figures and styles.

A Seamless and Stress-Free Process
Your gown alterations should be one of the most enjoyable aspects of your wedding preparations, and I’m here to make the process smooth and stress-free. My goal is to ensure you feel supported and confident as we perfect your dress together, so I prioritise clear communication, flexible fittings, and meticulous attention to detail every step of the way.
I recommend booking your alterations as soon as you’ve ordered your dress, even if it hasn’t arrived yet, as my diary fills up quickly. This early booking allows us to secure your fitting dates well in advance, giving you peace of mind knowing everything is organised.
Typically, I plan three fittings for brides, timed at around 12, 8, and 4 weeks before your wedding. These dates are penciled in when you first book, ensuring that your fittings are seamlessly integrated into your wedding timeline. This organised approach allows us to make any necessary adjustments gradually, ensuring your gown fits flawlessly as your big day approaches.

Investment
The cost of alterations depends entirely on your gown and the specific adjustments you need, so I can provide an accurate quote only after I’ve seen you in your dress and assessed the fit.
Bridal construction varies hugely, with some fabrics, like delicate beaded laces, requiring extra time and meticulous attention. While each gown is unique, as a general guide, most of my brides spend between £400-£500 on alterations.

There is a £50 booking fee (non refundable in the event of cancellation) to book your first appointment. This covers the cost of your fitting time (typically 3 fittings) and insurance for your gown while it is in my care.
