BESPOKE BRIDAL COUTURE IN HALIFAX, HEBDEN BRIDGE
AND WEST YORKSHIRE

Perhaps a traditional white gown isn’t your style, or maybe the thought of trying on dress after dress in a bridal boutique doesn’t appeal to you.

You might want to incorporate part of your mum’s wedding dress into yours, or perhaps you’ve searched everywhere and just can’t find exactly what you want. Whatever your reason, bespoke couture is the perfect solution.

Whether you have a clear vision for your gown or need guidance from start to finish (which is more common than you might think!), we can work together to design, select fabrics, and create an outfit that’s uniquely yours.

Custom Patterns and Designs
Just for You

I create patterns from scratch based on your exact measurements and body shape, allowing us to incorporate any design features you desire. With couture, the possibilities are endless – imagine a dress that transitions from day to night with detachable sleeves, a removable overskirt, or a cover-up for the ceremony. Since your outfit is made to measure from the start, no additional alterations are needed – it’s already crafted to fit you perfectly.

The beauty of a bespoke gown lies in its limitless potential. We’ll design a dress that enhances your figure, wows your partner, and feels comfortable throughout your special day. I’ll guide you through fabric choices and design options, ensuring your gown is everything you’ve imagined and more.

The Couture Process

The couture journey begins with a relaxed consultation, where we’ll chat over a cup of tea about your ideas and inspiration. Bring your Pinterest boards, photos, or any ideas you have. You can explore my fabric swatches and sample gowns to spark inspiration. After getting to know your vision, I’ll create several sketches and provide fabric samples, along with a firm quote.

Next, I take your detailed measurements and create a custom pattern for your body. We’ll start with a toile – a mock-up of your gown in a cheaper fabric – to refine the fit and make any design adjustments over one or two fittings. Once the toile is perfected, I’ll cut and assemble your gown in the final fabrics, followed by additional fittings to tweak and adjust until the fit and design are flawless.

Kind Words

“Megan drafted a pattern from an existing vintage dress I loved that wasn’t suited to a summer wedding. I was able to choose the fabric and lace, and Megan created a beautiful bespoke dress.”

Investment

Bridal gown prices depend on the complexity of the design and the materials chosen.

For example, a simple sheath dress in manmade fabrics will be more economical, while a heavily corseted gown in silk and beaded lace will require a larger investment. The advantage of going bespoke is that your gown is made to fit your exact shape, so you won’t need to budget for alterations, which are often required for boutique dresses.

Bridal gowns start from £2000 plus fabrics, which for a simple dress typically cost around £300-£400.

I also offer custom-made adult bridesmaid and prom dresses starting from £400 plus fabrics, and flower girl and christening gowns from £250 plus fabrics. Children’s outfits can often be made remotely, with a toile sent to you for fitting.
