Rhiannan came to me because she was looking for something completely different from a traditional ivory gown. After searching for the perfect outfit off the peg and coming up empty-handed, she knew a bespoke design was the right choice. She also felt uneasy about the typical bridal boutique experience and trying on multiple gowns, so a personalised approach suited her perfectly. Rhiannan wanted an outfit that felt comfortable, with no restrictive structure or boning, and something she could wear again beyond her wedding day.

We explored a range of design options, from dresses to mix-and-match separates, before landing on a chic and versatile three-piece ensemble. The final design featured deep navy wide-leg satin trousers paired with an ivory sleeveless satin bodice with a neckline shaped to exactly match her chosen necklace. To soften the look, we added an ivory silk georgette peplum to the bodice, creating a beautiful balance between structured elegance and flowing movement.
One of the standout features of Rhiannan’s outfit was the navy beaded lace that she fell in love with. We incorporated this into detachable flutter sleeves, offering a sophisticated look for the daytime ceremony that could be easily transformed for the evening by removing them. Instead of a traditional veil, Rhiannan opted for a cape – a growing trend among modern brides. The cape was crafted from the same ivory silk georgette as the peplum, creating a cohesive look that flowed gracefully from the shoulders to a small puddle train. The cape attached discreetly with invisible hooks and eyes, allowing it to be removed for a different style later in the day.

To add a touch of elegance, the top of the cape was finished with the same navy lace as the sleeves, creating the illusion of a regal shoulder cape when worn together. The result was a truly unique ensemble that blended timeless elegance with contemporary style, giving Rhiannan exactly the look she had envisioned – one that was comfortable, stylish, and perfect for her big day and beyond.
In addition to Rhiannan’s ensemble, I was also delighted to assist with alterations for her husband, Tom. He had purchased an off-the-peg suit that required a few adjustments, including sleeve shortening, waistband alteration, and tapering of the trouser legs. It was a pleasure working with both Rhiannan and Tom in the lead-up to their special day, ensuring they each looked and felt their best.

The final result was a beautifully coordinated and unique wedding look that reflected Rhiannan and Tom’s personalities while offering comfort, elegance, and versatility for years to come.
